dah seminggu lebih gak ngisi blog, banyak yg pengen g tulis cuma bingung gimana nulisnya . Mulai dari nonto Konser Hati Slank di monumen Mandala, lalu kegiatan CMOS ( Community of Open Source Makassar ) yg pertama di pameran komputer Alfa ( 6-9 April 2006 ) sampai melarikan diri dari dunia nyata n maya selama tiga hari di lembah gunung Bawakaraeng menikmati keindahan alam tanpa seperangkat komputer dan rutinitas yg mulai terasa membosankan . Kalo dah jadi maw upload foto"nya, jadi cukup gambarnya saja yg bercerita . Sejak minggu lalu g juga sering muter lagunya Letto n Kotak yg dibawah

nyari-nyari master program windows di album cd lama untuk nyoba install Microsoft Office ternyata cdnya dah rusak gak bisa dicopy cuma sampai 62% trus stalled n error akhirnya nyoba install Adobe Photoshop 7 ( bajakan  ) hasilnya lumayan lancar. Berhubung g dah terbiasa pake Gimp rasa photoshop mending Photoshop 7 nya di Uninstall aja daripada bikin berat kerja Processor n ngabisin space HD g yg pas-pasan

Am I become Microsoft haters ???

nahhh….. sometimes I still using Windows to play games like WE, burn VCD with Nero suites on Windows. But not in my computer of course, cuz I’m tired deal with Virus, Spyware and friends, I do those thing in another computer . So I’m not an anti-Microsoft or a Linux zealot, i’m just a person who likes to sit in front of computer for hours and do a lot of things with it and I’m agree with the Open Source philosophy even those source code maybe useless for me cuz i’m not a proggramer … yet . I don’t have money to buy those proprietary OS/Software and even if I have money to buy it, I think I would use that money for another things more usefull for me than waste it for OS/Software that I can replace with FLOSS like GNU/Linux    

I just don’t like and sometimes sick of those people who always said that GNU/Linux is like this (bad, difficult, not userfriendly, etc) and Windows like that (good, easy, userfriendly, etc) when they come to Linux Cyber cafe where I was work before and just go away without even try it first, and the worst thing is they talk about illegal Windows  …. damned

oh iya, kalo pengen nyoba pake theme xp di KDE gak sulit kok. Langsung aja donlot themesnya disini (KDE 3.2 - 3.5) ukuran filenya sekitar 3,8 Mb. Selesai donlot di extract dulu

$ tar -xzvf kde_xp_full-0.9.tar.gz

di dalam folder hasil extract ada petunjuk untuk installnya (tinggal jalankan script installnya di konsole ) setelah itu masuk di KDE Control Center buat ubah themesnya

kalau pengen nyari theme, wallpaper, screensaver, icon dll untuk dandanin desktop kamu, main ke site" dibawah ini aja

Semuanya berjalan lancar kecuali winmodem yang tampaknya musti dipensiunkan ( hampir gak pernah dipake soale gak kuat bayar Telkomnet Instant :p ). Karena g belum nemu cara biar Open Susenya bisa muter vcd/dvd jadi terpaksa koleksi MP3nya sebagian diungsikan ke CD untuk tempat PCLinuxOS jadinya komputer g berpoligami deh pake 2 OS yg istilah kerennya dualboot, kalau kepengen nonton tinggal reboot ganti PCLinuxOS. Sekarang lagi nyari2 informasi tentang XEN, Bocsh dan Virtual Machine lainnya biar OpenSuse sama PCLinuxOS bisa digunakan dan berjalan secara bersamaan. This is not the end yet but a new begining of my journey with Tux
ps : kalau satu OS gak cukup pake 2 OS atau lebih selama komputernya kuat boleh2 aja kan tapi kalo untuk istri rasanya cukup satu aja deh emangnya Cewek bisa disamakan dengan OS ??? gak ada hubungannya kaleee dualboot sama poligami kekekeke

The question most people raise is "why go through all the hassle of manually installing a Linux system from scratch when you can just download an existing distribution like Debian or Redhat". That is a valid question which I hope to answer for you. The most important reason for LFS’s existence is teaching people how a Linux system works internally. Building an LFS system teaches you about all that makes Linux tick, how things work together, and depend on each other. And most importantly, how to customize it to your own taste and needs.
